Name: Duran
Gender: M
Age: 17
Class: Fighter
Weapon: Sword

Duran is the boy with the ruddy hair, the metal plate on his head, and after his first light class change, he'll lug a shield. He is an unrefined, coarse character with a short temper and a keen dislike of losing. Fellow guardsmen give him a wide berth, in consideration of his explosive personality. However, if truth be known, he is a devoted subject of King Richard of the Kingdom of Forcena, with whom his deceased father was close.

Classes
Fighter: His neutral class. He doesn’t learn any spells until his first change and he’s not that helpful in the beginning because of his long recovery from one swing.

Gladiator: His first dark class. He’ll learn four elemental sabers. Fire, wind, water, and earth. He learns the strongest level 2 tech in the game. He can’t equip a shield but is a better fighter than his light side. Try this class if you already tried his light classes.

Swordmaster: Dark-Light Class. A fairly well designed class. He learns most sabers besides dark and saint saber. He has a pretty strong level 3 tech, which is Vacuum Blade. I’d say this guide is for a Novice or Expert SD3 players. You need a Swordmaster Proof to become this class. I would recommend this final class if you have two other power attackers like Kevin, Lise, or Hawk in your party. He’ll have the ability to multi-target the sabers he learns from the Gladiator class. If you don’t have two other power attackers, I would recommend the Duelist class.

Duelist: Dark-dark class. This is a very strong class. Duran is very powerful in attacking and is quite fast on the recovery swing now. He learns Dark Saber, which isn’t necessary at the end of the game. As I mentioned earlier, he learns the most powerful tech in the game, Eruption Sword. People who are pretty familiar with the game should use this class. For first timers, I would suggest going to his light side first. You need a Duelist Proof to become this class. He is needed in a party that has weak characters. If you have Angela, Carlie, or Hawk that are your other two characters, making Duran a Duelist is necessary.

Knight: His first light class. Able to equip a shield, he is able to avoid many attacks when recovering from a swing. He learns Heal Light (one ally).

Paladin: Light-Light class. This class is great! Although he doesn’t learn heal light (all), he learns the useful saint saber and can equip the best shield in the game, the sacred shield. This shield can only be found from a weapon/armor seed, which you could get from enemies. His level 3 tech is light aligned and hurts dark aligned enemies bad! You need a Paladin’s Proof in order to class change to this class. This class should be used if you don’t have any healers in your party. His evade rate is very high with his ultimate shield so he’ll be able to withstand a lot of attacks before getting killed or healed.

Lord: A Light-Dark Class. If you don’t have a healer in your party, you could make him a Lord for his full-screen Heal Light. He also learns Tinkle Rain. He doesn’t have a full-screen attack. You need a Lord’s proof to become this class. From the message boards at Gamefaqs, I have noticed how some people enjoy the Lord’s class. So why don’t you give this class a try?
